Thanksgiving is a time for family. from our families to yours, we’re sharing how we celebrated the holiday. Talk to us on Instagram and tell us about yours!
We made dinner, and everyone helped! While the food was cooking we played outside, went on a walk, played games — just had quality time together.
After eating (yum!) and cleaning up, we had dessert. Our little lady made cupcakes.
As we do every year, we read the notes in the jar from last year’s Thanksgiving. (I started our own little tradition — we write things we were so thankful for from the year and a few things we want to work on or hope for in the next year. Then, we put them in the jar and close till next year).
After writing our new ones, we sealed the jar. It's such a great way to focus on thankfulness together.
Afterwards, we all got in jammies and watched Wonder. It's an absolutely amazing movie, and it’s the epitome of kindness and goodness. PERFECT for this holiday! It was amazing to spend some low-key quality time with my favorite people — that’s what it’s all about.
Our Thanksgiving weekend was crazy good. We have a family tradition of running the Hilton Head Turkey Trot 5k. I threw Rose in the jogging stroller and Ella Grace runs/walks with Brian. This is one of my favorite traditions!
My parents were in town to cheer us on crossing the finish line. Then we hosted Thanksgiving at my house. We played board games (Ella Grace is super competitive) and then it was “all hands on deck” at the shop for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. The girls set up a coloring station outside the shop... they were super proud of it.
We also host a Santa House in the Village at Wexford on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. The house is so cute this year! Very thankful for my sweet family and friends and time well spent.
